Level 2 HAZMAT on the center of the city.
On the 3rd floor in a building being renovated in the center of StuddsVille, a part of an old rotten wooden floor collapsed.
Nobody was injured, but the falling debris severed a watermain in the building, and the left over water poured into a janitors supply closet.
Unknown to the workers,in the closet there where some left over cleaning and household chemicals, in unsealed bottles.
The chemicals and the water mixed, creating Hydrogen Sulfide.
After a few moments, a few of the workers felt sick, the overseer went to check them out, but moments later the sick men collapsed, the overseer was overcome by the Hydrogen Sulfide too, and in a moment before collasing, he pulled the fire alarm.
Battalion 1, Engine 13, Engine 14 and Ladder 13 responded to the box, but once on scene, there was no sign of fire.
the crews of Ladder 13 prepaired for a primary search, but at the doorway, the gasmeter of the Captain from Ladder 13 went crazy.
They masked up and went in for a check, and within minutes, they found 2 collapsed workers on the 2nd floor, and brought them out, Battalion 1 immediatly called in a HAZMAT Level 2 call.
So the Special Operations Chief, Rescue 5, HAZMAT 1, Tanker 1, Squad 17, Ladder 14 and Utility 1 responded to the scene.
The Stud City FD's HAZMAT Task force was alerted too and responded to StuddsVille, and the City of Charlottesburg's Fire Department sent out their HAZTAC Ambulance.
When on scene, a Mass casualty and Decon area's where set up, while the Rescue and Ladder crews sweeped the building, and evacuated all downed workers from the building, HAZMAT crews quickly neutralised the chemicals, and did a check in the building.
2 of the fallen workers needed CPR, and where rushed to hospital in HAZTAC Ambulances, 3 others where transported to the hospital, 4 others where released from care after evaluation by the on scene HAZTAC paramedics.
HAZMAT and EPA crews started to clean up the building, while the other crews were evaluated and all where released for duty by the paramedics.
No firefighters where injured in this call.
After a few hours the building was cleared, and the crews could go home.
All downed workers did survive.

Reserve Ladder 2 totalled in MVA.
Reserve Ladder 2 was returning from a training in a abandoned appartment building in central StuddsVille with 4 students a instructor and a driver.
On the Central Plaza intersection, the traffic light turned orange just when the ladder was passing, so the driver gave some extra gas.
At the same time a cyclist ignored the red light and wandered on the wrong side or the road, right in front of the ladder witch was picking up some speed to clear the intersection.
The driver made a hard left turn, but it was so sharp the the front axle broke and the ladder rolled over and came to a rest on its side.
The cyclist dumped his bike and ran off.
Dispatch then recieved noumerous 911 calls, and sent out Engine 13, Engine 14, Ladder 13, Rescue 5 and Battalion 5 to the scene of the crash.
Once on scene it became obvious that the crashed rig was leaking, so HAZMAT and Tanker 1 were called in too.
Utility 1 and 3 where asked in too with the traffic pods to help PD to regulate the traffic, cause most of the intersection was closed off cause of the accident.
SVEMS looked over the crew who crawled out of the damaged cab on their own power.
The instructor was transported to hospital with a few bas cuts in his head, but probably will be released tomorrow.
The driver and 1 student were trapped in the cab, so a combined crew cut them out in 20 minutes time, and they were stabilised on scen before they where rushed to hospital.
Both suffered multiple fractures and crush injuries, but are currently in stable condition.
HAZMAT cleaned up the spilled fluids from the truck, and drained what was left in the tanks.
After that the badly damaged ladder was put back on its wheels with the help of the towing company and Heavy Rescue 13
when secured mechanics of the motorpool inspected the rig and made it ready to be towed away to the cities motorpool.
The rig is probably a write off.
The Chief came on scene too to overlook the operation.
Later today fire officials stated that the axle broke off due to lack of maintenance, the rig was supposed to be ordered to the motorpool for a inspection, but these orders where ignored by the chief of training.
He is currently suspended awaiting a full investigation.
SVPD stated that they are doing a extensive search to find the cyclist, cause the bike witch he left on scene was registered stolen.
But with the witness statements PD has a good description of the man. and hopes officers can apprehend him soon.
No further injuries where reported.
