SVFD Station 1 is one of the newest stations in the city at 17 Main Street, built in 2016 and has multiple bays, a attached EMS station and community areas that can be used as a triage and first aid post in even of a big incident nearby.
This station houses Battalion 1, EMS Supervisor 1, Task Force 13, Rescue 5, Medic 1 and Squad 51.

Squad 51 is a 2008 Ford F-450 Paramedic Squad, and responds to all EMS cases where the 2 trained Rescue Medics will assess the victims injuries, stabilise them if needed, and call in transport and/or other units if needed.

The members were specially trained as Rescue Medics by FDNY instructors and they specialise in Advanced Pre Hospital care and were trained to deal with contaminated persons and injuries like crush injuries and traumatic amputations.
