SVFD Shops "You break it, We fix it"
Next to the SSV plant is the location for the SVFD Shops, it is a brand new building where all SVFD Fire Trucks will recieve maintenance and repairs.
Also newly delivered rigs will come here for inspection and acceptance tests, crew training before the rig goes to operational duty.
The only active units here is the Heavy Rescue Task Force, but reserve and spare rigs are also located here.

The Studdsville Specialty Vehicles built rig is equipped as a on scene maintenace and repair unit with all sorts of tools and equipment to preform most repair and maintenance works, and will to either fire stations, to repair the rigs in house or to scenes.
For added safety the rig has mostly amber lighting and a foldable matrix traffic sign to warn uncoming traffic.
The Scania is replacing the 1998 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which is going to the Fire Academy as a transport unit.

It was a long journey for the truck, because it started life in Södertälje in Sweden as a Scania R730 V8 Euro 6 10x4 truck.
It was then shipped to Studdsville.
SSV changed the cab to the Torpedo type, first the cab was placed further back on the chassis, and with molds from a donor truck, SSV made a hood and plating to enclose the engine and front of the truck, also a compartment behind the cab was constructed which houses the fuel and hydraulic tanks aswell as a generator.
When completed, the rig was thoroughly tested to make sure the rig still preformed as it should.
Then the rig got its Scania T markings and was from then on a Scania T730 V8 Euro 6 10x4 truck.
The rig was then transported to Miller industries, and the rig got a Century 1075S Rotator body and a crane with a 75 ton lifting capacity.
When the body was finished and tested, the rig was driven back to SSV, where it got its emergency lighting, sirens, extra lighting and safety and monitoring systems.
The rig was then brought to Creekside Towing where the rig was put through its paces, and passed with flying colors before going into service as Heavy Rescue 1.

Reserve Ladder 501 is a 2001 Seagrave Marauder 100' rear mounted aerial.
This rig was aquired in 2012 when the delivery of Ladder 14 was postponed for the forseeable future.
