Engine 14 also was delivered from Studdsville Specialty Vehicles.
The 2012 Seagrave Marauder II was having some corrosion problems with the original body and was in need for a refurbishment.
SSV was expirimenting with a custom engine body, so the Seagrave was offered as a donor chassis.
After the body was prepaired and the chassis was tested and configured, the two were married together and thouroughly tested.
The new body exceeded expectations, and was cleared for front line duty.
As the basic specs were kept the same, 1500 gpm pump, 500 gallon water tank and a 250 gallon foam tank.
The expanded storage space was a must for the refurbished Engine, and SSV delivered.
Engine 14 now carries extra highrise packs, extra tools and a holmatro battery charged combi tool.
Crews have been checked out on the new body when it was just out of the building phase, so it can go into service immediatly.
