Yesterday when rail crews were cleaning up the scene of the earlier bridge collapse, the electric locomotive of the damaged train needed to be towed away, but when the locomotive was a towed a few feet away the oil and hydraulic fluid lines burst and their contents spilled over the rail.
The rail supervisor called the fire department who issued a level 1 HAZMAT alert.
Fire crews dammed in the spill and emptied the damaged train of all its fluids.
The train could be towed further and a specialised company was natified and cleaned up the spill a few hours later.
This was the first call for HIT 2.

- Battalion 2
- Special Operations

- Engine 22
- Squad 1 (cancelled en-route)
